Join us for worship, prayer and teaching this morning led by Sue. This service is a special all-age Harvest service in the main church!

Harvest gifts of dried and tinned food for refugees will also be collected, to be sent through PAFRAS. Find out more about PAFRAS, Positive Action for Refugees & Asylum Seekers, here!. PAFRAS distribute a huge amount of food in an average year and food donations are vitally important for their capacity to continue to do so.

Donations of the following foodstuffs are welcome:

Tins: Tomatoes, pulses, chickpeas and other beans and pulses, vegetables and fruit, fish and meat (except pork). Custard, rice pudding etc. are also good.
Dry food: Sugar, rice, pasta, couscous, pulses, cereals, (these are split down into portions, so catering size bags are useful), tea, small jars of instant coffee, cereals.
Sweets: Dried fruit, nuts, biscuits, chocolate bars and cakes.
We also need: Long-life milk, fruit juices, and diluting juice/squash, cooking oil.

In addition to food stuff service users often need the following: Toiletries such as soap, shower gel, shampoo, deodorant, tooth paste and brushes, safety razors and sanitary towels. Things like babies’ nappies, talcum powder, baby wipes, etc are also always helpful.

Morning services at HLBC include a variety of music styles and singing, Bible teaching and prayer. This Sunday there are no separate sessions for children, and the service content will include material aimed at all ages. A baby room is available at the back of the church during the service. Refreshments are provided after the service ends, usually between 11.20 to 11.30am.
