This service tonight is our regular healing meeting, with worship and prayer together. This last Sunday in the month is centred around communion and Jesus’ power and authority to bring healing to broken lives.

Join us for worship, prayer and teaching. Our series on John continues with John 3.22-36. This morning we welcome Ben Niblett from Tearfund who leads the service.

This is our annual gift day for Tearfund, gift envelopes will be available during the service, don’t forget to GiftAid it!

Celebration Evening!

There will be an important celebration for everyone, of all ages, on Saturday 10th September in the Hall; it will start at 5pm and will probably finish at around 8.30pm. There will be some worship, food and fun and we’ll be celebrating all the gifts that God has given us.

God has given us all different gifts to use together in serving Him in our church, and in our community and the world. It’s often when someone dies that we hear, at their funeral, of all the ways they’ve served God. Well, let’s not leave it till our funerals: let’s celebrate each other now!

There’s a list on the board at the front of church to sign up if you’re coming (we need to know numbers for food) and if you can bring a salads or a pudding please note that on the list. See you there!

When Love came to town

In the coming year Harehills Lane Baptist Church will be studying John’s gospel in each of their Sunday services and in small group settings. So what’s the attraction? Why study John’s Gospel? Why now, and why a year?

Sunday Worship – summer 2011

10am Morning worship

‘Deliver us from evil’

Our summer programme looking at aspects of the Lord’s Prayer concludes this week, with a service led by Maureen and Duncan on ‘Warfare’. As this is the first Sunday in the month, we will be sharing communion together as part of our morning worship.

Services during the summer holidays are usually smaller and more low key as people come and go on holidays. There is no regular Sunday Club and the services either seek to be all-age inclusive or else there will be some provision for children aged up to 13 – check here for confirmation.
