Join us for a special Remembrance Sunday service at HLBC, with hymns, stories, and prayers for peace. The service starts at 10am but children will leave for Sunday Club a bit earlier than usual, after the service has begun.
As part of the service that starts at 10am, we will gather by the front entrance (weather permitting) at 11am for two minutes of silence. The service will conclude in the Church Hall on Hilton Place with refreshments and cakes.
You are invited to bring photos/drawings/names of family or friends who you would like to include in our shared remembering – perhaps a relative involved in the First World War or another conflict, someone you know currently serving in the military, or people who have experienced war or the impact of war.
We are delighted to welcome members of North Leeds Music Centre orchestra to play for the service along with our own musicians.
If you are local to the area or would like to take part in an act of remembrance on this 100th anniversary you are very welcome to come and join us – either for the full service from 10am, at the front entrance at 11am, or simply to share tea and stories in the hall afterwards. Come for all or some.
Morning services at HLBC include a variety of music styles and singing, Bible teaching and prayer. A baby room is also available at the back of the church during the service.
Contact the Church Office if you’d like to know more about services at HLBC.
