Our building and facilities
We have a selection of rooms available to hire for meetings, parties and regular activities. We have currently begun a development project to improve our rooms and make them even more useful to our community – find out more in this blog post. The large hall is ideal for parties and group events. It has easy access, wooden flooring and excellent kitchen facilities. Hall users have included: birthday parties, mums and toddlers groups, circus groups, health/fitness classes, arts groups. (For a no-frills, low budget alternative, ask about our gym!)
HLBC has two meeting rooms, the larger Green Room and the smaller Lounge. The Green Room has kitchen facilities and a projection screen, and is great for longer sessions or in use with the main church. The lounge is perfect for smaller groups and drop-ins, and has easy access from the street. Our meeting rooms are used for things like: local interest groups, AGMs, prayer meetings, counselling sessions and discussion groups.
The main church building can be hired for certain events, and priority is given to worship gatherings. It has also been used for: other churches’ sessions, concerts, performances and film showings, youth events and talks.
