Children & young people
We believe that children and young people hold a valuable place within our church family and seek to serve and include them. Our provision for children and young people develops and adapts as the generations within our church family change and grow and recent years have seen various formats including Sunday Club (during morning worship), youth clubs and SPACE group, Sunday evening meetings, cell groups and Youth Alpha course.

We have a Child Protection Policy which we commit to each year, including CRB checks for youth workers and helpers.
Sundays
Children go out to Sunday Club (Sunday school classes) during the morning service. We currently run Tadpoles, a group for ages 4 to 6, and then classes based round school year groups for up to age 14 (see Sunday Worship). Provision for teenagers varies depending on the current age range of our young people.
Children under 4 are welcome to come out to join in with Tadpoles providing that a parent/guardian stays with them, but there is also a Creche room at the back of the church with a sound feed plus a quiet toy space in the church itself.
Cell group
HLBC is part of Leeds Youth Cell Network. The cell group in our area meets on a Thursday evening at 7.30pm, for young people aged 14 and up. They gather with other cells across the city for occasional ‘celebration’ worship events.
