Our Sunday gatherings are quite diverse. We are a growing church made up of many nationalities and cultures and so our worship on a sunday reflects the nature of the church.
The morning service begins at 10.00 am with worship and preaching at it's centre. We are committed to every member ministry, where everybody is included and because of this we have a preaching and worship team of diverse styles and ministries who serve the gathered community very well. Children leave after 30-40 minutes for teaching aimed their level.
Our evening service is a smaller service and has a similar ethos to that of the morning. The word of God has a strong focus along with praying for each other. We have a monthly healing meeting in which we have an opportunity for prayer and prophetic ministry.
We have a number of home groups around the local area. some run on a monthly basis, some bi-weekly, some every week. Home groups at HLBC come in a variety of forms. We have traditional home groups, we also have issue groups such as a Justice and Community group, a Theology group, worship group etc....Please contact the church office for details. There are many opportunities for prayer at HLBC. Prayer groups come together on Tuesday's each week for 4 times of concentrated prayer. 7.30 am, 9.15 am, 12.15 pm, 7.30 pm. For more information click here and fill in the contact sheet
The first Sunday in every month we have a gathering simply called "FIRST SUNDAY" which has an inclusive edge to it. Together as a community we gather round the table of Christ for communion, reflection and worship. This is followed by a welcome meal and a further time together to discuss and explore together.
The two "Breathe Deep the breath of God" youtube video's by the LOST DOGS highlight our sense of inclusivity as a community.
On Sunday mornings and evening we have an open prayer room that is available for prayer in solitude or with someone from the church community.
